As a Bassist

Wendy is confident in her skills as an orchestral and chamber musician. She has played in operas, full symphony orchestras, quintets and other small ensembles, and has performed both accompanied and unaccompanied works in solo recitals. Rates will vary due to performance needs.

As a Pianist

Wendy is an accomplished pianist, with a focus on chamber music and accompanying. She was given honorary mention in the 2014 RCS Horn Competition for her performance with fellow classmate Robert Newth, and has an affinity for french horn repertoire. She accompanied the RCS double bass department and is well versed in double bass repertoire, having played many of the standard solo works herself. She regularly accompanies violinists and violists in recitals, and accompanies all of her private students in lessons and performances. Rates will vary due to rehearsal schedule and performance needs.

As an Educator

Wendy has over 14 years of experience teaching all levels of violin, viola, cello, bass, and piano students. She has a private studio in Fairfax, VA, for weekly lessons with 30 dedicated pupils. Wendy’s fall studio is currently full; please contact to be placed on her waiting list. Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, she is offering Skype, Zoom, and WhatsApp lessons in addition to in-person lessons.

Wendy is a member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) and has her strings students participate annually in the Certificate Advancement Program. She is also a member of the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association (NVMTA) and encourages her students to take part in the many performance opportunities they offer.
