This fiery duet from Bizet’s Carmen has been arranged for the advancing piano duo. Written in the original key of D minor, both piano primo and piano secondo switch between melodic and harmonic content, with piano secondo being more chord heavy and reading 2 voices in on hand. It is abridged so that all of the melodic themes are heard only once. This makes an excellent addition to any recital program and would work especially well as a short encore.
