This popular Mexican folk song has been arranged for the early intermediate cellist with piano accompaniment. Written in the friendly key of C Major, the cello part requires minimal shifting up to F in 4th position on the A string. It also includes tied notes over the bar line in 3/4 time, grace notes, and slurs. The piano part is a true accompaniment and does not double the melody except at the beginning of the chorus. Helpful bowings and phrasings have been included throughout.
