This popular Mexican folk song has been arranged for the late beginner/early intermediate violist with piano accompaniment. Written in the friendly key of G Major, the viola solo can be played entirely in first position and includes tied notes over the bar line in 3/4 time, a few grace notes, and slurs. The piano part is a true accompaniment and does not double the melody except at the beginning of the chorus. Helpful bowings and phrasings have been included throughout.
