This lively country dance, originally written for guitar by Juan Alais, has been arranged for the advanced pianist. It is in the original keys of A and D Major and features grace notes and both melodic and stride playing in the left hand, as well as reading 2 voices and larger chords in the right hand. Juan Alais (1844 - 1914) was an Argentine musician of British descent. He is known as the pioneer of concert guitar. With its 3 contrasting sections, this piece makes an excellent choice for a student recital!
