This energetic mazurka, originally written for guitar by Juan Alais, has been arranged for the advanced pianist. It is in the original keys of A and D Major and features left hand stride playing as well as reading two voices and 3 and 4 note chords in the right hand. Juan Alais (1844 - 1914) was an Argentine musician of British descent. He is known as the pioneer of concert guitar. With its introduction and 3 contrasting sections, this makes an excellent student recital or encore piece!
