The popular Marche Militaire by Franz Schubert is a great showcase piece for any intermediate string orchestra, quintet, or ensemble. The violin parts are a little more advanced, requiring some shifting to third position for Violin I. The cello and bass parts are unique, and the viola doubles the Violin I melody at times.
