This is the piano reduction with the vocal part included of the aria "Mein liebster Freund hat mich verlassen." It is written for soprano in the key of C Major with a vocal range of C4-G5. This aria comes from one of Mozart's early operas, Bastien und Bastienne, which he wrote in 1768 when he was just 12 years old. It was adapted from a popular play of the time, The Loves of Bastien and Bastienne, which was a comic parody of another play by Jean Jacques Rousseau.
