This is the piano accompaniment track for the second movement of Telemann’s “Concerto in G Major” for viola. It has been recorded at a comfortable tempo of quarter note = 80 — perfect for both practice and performance. I generally followed the accompaniment found in Suzuki Volume 4, but changed some voicings to be more consistent throughout and took out some of the repetitive sixteenth notes to be more pianistic. This is an excellent selection for violists who are just learning treble clef and third position. Performed by Wendy Hellmann.
