This set of 3 lively dances by Theodore Akimenko has been adapted for solo oboe and piano. They are written in the original keys of G, D, and A Major, and feature lyrical lines that are reminiscent of Tchaikovsky. This piece uses the full range of the oboe and is a true chamber work, with both instruments complimenting one another without doubling the solo melody of the oboe in the piano.
