This tenor aria comes from Esther by G. F. Handel. It has been transposed from F Major to the more comfortable E Major. With a vocal range of E3 to G#4, it is well suited for singers branching into baroque music and works perfectly for college auditions. The piano accompaniment retains many of the original elements, but omits some of the oboe solo found in other editions for the sake of playability.
