This somber waltz by Ivan Laskovsky has been arranged for the intermediate pianist. It has been transposed from it's original key of F minor to the more approachable key of E minor. It features easy left hand chords and an elegant, single voice melody in the right hand. Ivan Laskovsky was a Russian musician (1799 - 1855). After serving as a military officer, he studied with John Field and became an accomplished pianist and composer. With its two contrasting sections, this piece makes an excellent choice as a student recital piece!
