Webster Scherzo | Piano accompaniment (bass)

$2.99

This is the piano accompaniment track for Carl Webster's "Scherzo," which was originally written for cello and has been transposed for the double bass. It has been recorded at a stately tempo (around half note = 76) as I find that students often start out ambitiously fast and then have to slow down as they shift into thumb position. This tempo is ideal for those who need to practice at one even speed. There is a slight ritardando into and out of the Meno Mosso section, as well as a slight accelerando at the end. This is a great piece for students who are learning thumb position and like exciting, upbeat music. Performed by Wendy Hellmann.
